What to expect
A warm, friendly and judgement free space for people who love books! Whether you are an avid reader or are looking to discover your inner book nerd, this book club with provide space for you to slow-down, connect and build friendships with like-minded people who have a shared love for reading. This will be a relaxed and inclusive club that welcomes readers of all paces, with no pressure to have the ‘right’ opinion or analyse the books in a particular way. Come as you are, share as much or as little as you like, and enjoy a delicious cake, coffee or cocktail at Forrest!
What will we be reading?
Each month we will vote on the next book we will read as a group, the books will be from a range of genres, including Fantasy, Sci-fi, Romance, Contemporary Fiction, Thrillers, Horror, Romantasy and everything in-between. This book club wants to encourage it's members to explore stories and genres they would not usually choose, hopefully broadening our interests and allowing for a more interesting conversation! Books will be kept under a 700-page limit to accommodate all reading paces, however you are encouraged to attend even if you haven’t finished the book in time (but please expect spoilers). Feel free to read it however you prefer, book, audiobook or kindle.
We want to create an open and evolving space that meets the creative needs of anyone that attends whilst staying book focused, any suggestions or questions are all welcome!
How often will we meet?
We will meet on the first Thursday of each month and tickets will be on sale on our website just before each previous book club.
What’s included?
We have curated a fabulous Book Club menu that includes hot drinks, soft drinks, wine and even a themed cocktail! A drink will be included in your ticket price and we’ll have a fabulous choice of exclusive book club treats for you to buy on the night too!
